TEN TIPS FOR WINTERIZING AND FREESING TEMPORATURES
1. Water your lawn and landscape prior to a freeze.  Then turn sprinkler temporarily off.
2. Cover outdoor hose connections with foam protector cups. (you can get these at a hardware store)
3. Cover outdoor patio bar sink plumbing with insulation or blanket.
4. Keep heat on in house and sink base cabinet doors open that back up to an outside wall.  Especially if you leave to go out of town for an extended time.
5. Cover outdoor small shrubs and flowers with plastic or bed sheets.
6. Bring inside potted plants and flowers.
7. DO NOT leave pets outside for an extended period of time.
8. Leave yourself time in the morning for warming up your car and clearing frost or ice off the windshield.
9. Have HVAC system serviced for the winter and replace filters.
10. Keep sand or salt handy in case of ice on front walkways
Note:  Know where your main water cut offs are in case of busted pipes.
