Dear Mark: We can’t begin to thank you enough for building our dream home. It is hard to believe how seamless the process was. From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences we have ever had. You have a rare gift of being incredibly organized and detail orientated but have the vision of a designer and a heart like Andy Griffith. You care about your neighborhood. There are so many qualities you have that impressed us but we would have to say that your attention to detail is at the top of the list. It started after our first meeting and we saw how you hit the ground running. There is just no down time with you. You are on top of every detail and have the bar set high for your contractors. It is obvious that you treat them well because they are a hardworking group of people who seem to share your passion for excellence. You seem to have your heart in every home you build, and we have heard this from every single friend who has a Highland Classic Home. While you are very conscious of a deadline, we never got the impression that you were rushed or just going through the motions. You somehow manage to make us feel like we were the only house you had on your mind. You return calls immediately, you act upon any issue we had right away (and often before we ever got around to telling you about it) and were available any time day or night. When describing you to others we almost always say we don’t know how you do this and you don’t even have a secretary! Throughout the process, you made it clear that you wanted us to be thrilled with every detail. We had some changes late in the game that we just cringed at bringing to you. You acted like it was no big deal and stressed that you wanted us to love every detail in the house, that it had to be perfect. We know these things created more work for you but you assured us that it was just a part of it. We are so grateful for that approach because if we had not been able to make the changes, we would have moved in with a list of things to do. Instead, we moved in with everything perfect…ahead of schedule. Perhaps the most surprising thing is your attention after we moved in. It has been a little over 2 months and you are still available to us. We have had a few little things come up that we would not expect you to help with but you have been there to help us with anything we need. In fact, you have acted on things before I got around to it which is so typical of you. Mark, our house is amazing. From the standard features in your homes, to the contractors and vendors you use, you are quality all the way. You are considerate, reliable and an expert at what you do. We are beyond blessed to have had you build our home, proud to have you as our neighbor and grateful that you are a friend.

Highland Classic Homes, built our new home for us, and we are extraordinarily pleased with the results!

When we first approached Mark, we presented him with some unusual challenges.  We wanted a “disability friendly” home, but we were exploring many ideas without a lot of specifics.  Throughout the entire design and building process, Mark very patiently listened to our needs and wish lists and helped us sort through the issues that were practical and made sense from a financial perspective.  He willingly explored each and every item we could toss his way, and even though several of these were things he had not encountered before, once decisions were made, he implemented them creatively and immediately.  His problem solving ability still amazes us.

Building a new home wasn’t our initial direction, but after searching we realized that the combination of things we were looking for wasn’t going to be found.  When we came to the conclusion we’d need to build to really get what we wanted, the only direction we were comfortable with was building with Mark Dann.  We couldn’t be happier with our house and the job Mark did on it.  He has the rare combination of being a great technical builder and providing superior customer service.

Having heard all the stories associated with building a new home, we were pleased with Mark’s ability to help keep us on track and on budget while still accommodating our unique requests.  It was a well organized project and we were guided through the timeline in a way that allowed us to comfortably make all the material selection decisions.  He couldn’t have been easier to work with and we don’t see how anyone could have done a better job.  Mark’s personal integrity shown through during the entire process.  We would recommend him to anyone.

We have been in our new home for about one month, and we are extremely pleased with the overall quality and attention to detail that was put into the home. It is clear that you took a lot of pride in the construction of this home, and your responsiveness has been excellent throughout the move in process.

In addition, the subcontractors you use have been terrific to work with. I have been especially pleased with the guys from Imperial Electric, Security (Bill & Jorge). They have gone above and beyond in teaching us to work the systems. I would recommend your company to anyone looking for a great experience from their builder.

I really cannot imagine a home builder being any better than Mark Dann. In every phase of the construction process, from design, to the tearing down of the old house, to the actual construction of the new house and now to current maintenance or warranty issues, Mark has been superb. We had heard horror stories about building a home and of promises being broken and deadlines missed and budgets forgotten and we never felt that way with Mark.

He treated our construction as if it was his own. He made sure every detail was taken care of to perfection and he went above and beyond in negotiating with the subcontractors in order to ensure that we received the best possible work for the best price.

Our biggest difficulty with the construction process was keeping up with all of the decisions that we had to make on styles, colors etc. because we were always ahead of schedule on the construction process. Mark does such a good job of scheduling work and moving all of the different pieces around that the job went much quicker than we ever imagined.

Mark really built us a house that we can be extremely proud of and he did it with the utmost integrity and professionalism. We highly recommend him.
